Ulrich Schumann, born in 1963, is an Owner-Managing Director of Boyden and works in the Duesseldorf office. Since 2002 he was Head of the EMEA HiTec Practice Group, since 2006 he has been Global Technology Practice Leader within Boyden.

Management experience:

• 1998 – 2001 Managing Partner at the H. Neumann International Executive Search Company in Duesseldorf.
  
• 1993 – 1998 Consultant and Team Leader IT/Telecommunications at ifp Institut für Personal- und Unternehmensberatung (Institute for Personnel and Management Consulting), Cologne.

Initially, Personnel and Personnel Management Consulting focused on the Financial Services branch. Since 1994, specializing in the High-Tech segment, especially IT/EDP and Telecommunications. Prior to that, Project Manager and Field Manager of the Kohorten Sozial-und Wirtschaftsforschung (Social Science and Economics Research Cohorts), Frankfurt am Main, working for leading companies in the Branded Article and Financial Services branches, in advertising effectiveness, market and communications research. Previously, Research Assistant at the Institute for Applied and Clinical Psychology at the University of Bonn.

Education: Studies of Psychology, Social Sciences and Business Management at the Universities of Marburg and Bonn, Masters degree in Psychology (Diplom-Psychologe).
