Dr. Marlis Reck joined Boyden as Managing Partner in 2001.

She had been Managing Director in the Berlin office of H. Neumann International for almost two years, and an international partner in this Pan-European executive search company. In this position she was assisting national and international companies in the recruitment of senior executives, in particular companies of the manufacturing/automotive components supplying industry, information technology / telecommunication / electronics. In addition, she has a track record of success in assignments regarding searching and screening expatriates and local executives for holdings and subsidiaries of European global companies in Asia.

Prior to her employment in this executive search group she had been a managing partner from 1990 to 1999 in a medium-sized consultancy, focusing on the direct search of senior executives. She organized the Berlin office of this company and established network in Eastern Europe and Asia. She gained expert know-how holding a position in the Foreign Service, where she was responsible for public realtions. For some time she also worked as a press secretary in Asia. Following her studies in the science of history she took up research of Latin America for four years.
She took her academic degree as Dr. phil in 1978.
